Free Program with Carrie Spaulding Terms of Service

Please read carefully. By registering for this program with Carrie Spaulding, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service. Please carefully read the terms below.

Welcome! I am so glad you’ll be joining a free program, and I can’t wait for us to take this unique journey together. To support a welcoming, safe, and productive environment for all of us, all registrants agree to these terms and conditions. These terms apply to any free programs with Carrie Spaulding where different Terms of Service are not specified.

Group Norms:

I understand that in order to support connection, engage full presence, and equalize vulnerability, this is a camera-on experience. Unless I encounter technical difficulties, I agree to turn my camera on for the duration of the session(s).

I understand that this program is intended to provide a welcoming environment for all, inclusive of different experiences and identities. Recognizing that we all have awareness gaps, I will take care to speak with kindness and respect, and to be as inclusive as possible. I agree to bring a generous spirit as people in the group may be stepping outside their comfort zones!

I understand that in the event I am uncomfortable with something expressed during the program, I am invited and encouraged to share that privately with Carrie. I understand that I am welcome to reach out to Carrie via email with feedback at any time.

I understand that in the very unlikely event that Carrie determines that my presence in the group is compromising the wellbeing or safety of individuals in the group or the group at large, I may be removed from the program at Carrie’s sole discretion, and I agree to abide by that decision without retaliation.

Eligibility:

By registering for this program, I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age.

Logistics:

I understand that this program meets on Zoom.

I understand that my registration does not include any supplies that may be used during the program, and that it is my responsibility to obtain any supplies that are needed, and to have them with me for the program.

I understand that in the unlikely event of an emergency or major connection difficulties, Carrie may have to reschedule a session (every effort will be made not to do so, and as much notice as possible will be given).

I understand that Carrie may occasionally have internet issues which result in less-than-optimal connection. I agree to be patient with this!

Force Majeure:

Carrie shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside of reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, internet or technology failures, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.

Recordings: 

I understand that sessions will be recorded by Carrie for internal review and development, as well as the purposes outlined below.

I understand that this is a live, real-time experience and that while recordings of the sessions may be provided by Carrie for a limited time, there is no guarantee of this. I understand that just like an in-person class, if I miss it, I may miss it. I understand that I may not record the program in whole or in part, and I may not download or save any recordings provided to me by Carrie.

I consent to being recorded and to the use of select excerpts, full sessions, or the entire program that may include me (including video, audio, or screenshots) for educational, promotional, and commercial purposes. Carrie agrees to use discretion and care in selecting any such materials, and will not intentionally include sensitive or personally vulnerable sharing in any public-facing content.

I understand that recordings may be stored on third-party platforms and personal storage systems. While reasonable efforts are made to protect this content, no system is completely secure, and I acknowledge and accept this risk.

I understand that I am responsible for choosing what I share during the program.

Confidentiality and Responsibility

Because of the nature of a group program, I understand that this group program/community is not subject to the same confidentiality guarantees as a private coaching relationship. If I am also a private coaching client, all content of my private coaching sessions will remain confidential. I understand that I may share as much or little as I want to, and I hold Carrie harmless in the event something I share spreads beyond the group in a way I did not intend. I understand that any information I add to group documents, including personal details and contact information, can be viewed by any participant. I understand it is voluntary to contribute to these documents. I agree not to share private information of others in the group without their explicit consent.

I understand that this program is not the same as private coaching, therapy, counseling, mentoring, or consulting. I understand that this group does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association. I understand that neither this group program, nor coaching, are substitutes for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment and I will not use the group in place of any form of diagnosis, treatment, or therapy.

I understand that I am free to accept or reject any suggestion, request, idea, experiment, homework assignment, reflection, opinion, or feedback offered by Carrie or by any member of the group, and that I am fully responsible for my own decisions and outcomes regardless of what ideas, information, feedback, opinions, or suggestions may be offered.

Limitation of Liability:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carrie Spaulding and Spaulding Coaching and Facilitation LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to my participation in the program. I agree that my participation is voluntary and at my own risk, and that I am solely responsible for my decisions, actions, and results.

Indemnification:

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Carrie Spaulding and Spaulding Coaching and Facilitation LLC from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to my participation in the program, my conduct, or my violation of these Terms.

Respecting the Work:

I understand that I am not permitted to record this program in whole or in part in any form, including in audio, video, or photo/screenshot format, and I agree not to do so.

I agree not to share, redistribute, recreate or publish–in whole or in part–any materials provided to me or generated by people other than me (including but not limited to the program structure, exercises, and design, handouts, links, collaborative resources, and content from group discussions) without Carrie’s explicit permission.

I acknowledge that all program materials, content, and proprietary frameworks are the intellectual property of Carrie Spaulding. I agree not to copy, make derivative works from, teach, license, or sell these materials, or create a program, product, or service that substantially replicates the proprietary content, structure, or frameworks of this program.

Governing Law:

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Pennsylvania.

Updates to Terms of Service:

Carrie Spaulding and Spaulding Coaching and Facilitation LLC may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued participation in the program after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For current participants, any material changes may require explicit acknowledgment or re-consent. Past participants remain bound by the version of the Terms they agreed to at the time of registration.

Overall Agreement:

By checking the agreement boxes and completing registration, I acknowledge that I have read and understood these Terms of Service and agree that this constitutes a legally binding agreement.
